politically incorrect ~ Your Living Requires others dying

Simple politically incorrect truth: We live in dualism. Day and night, bright and dull, hunter and hunted. For us to live others must die.

No fall in the tropics but we have the colours

There I was doing my morning hunt when I spotted this fellow in the shadows. Slowly and cautiously  I moved closer and got into my shooting position. Finally I was ready to shoot. I got off six shots before he hopped.

For all of the hunters… no less of a thrill or a challenge with a camera.

Can You Say ‘Anthropocene'(a synonym for genocide)

The Old Man, black & white, portrait

we all will pay the price of this genocide

I can say it but I need the spell checker to make sure I spell it correctly. For those of you who don’t know the word it means: The Geological Period of the Humans. We’re the 800 pound gorilla, the massive dinosaur, the ruler and controller of the planet we live on.

We are killing the planet we live on. We have created a world wide genocide

Depending on how much of an optimist you are you will believe the experts that say by 2020, 2/3rds of the wild animals will be extinct or that it will take till 2050.

Regardless of the exact year… they’re gone and it’s our responsibility.

Practicing the craft ~ focus stacking

I’m not convinced that focus stacking fits my style. Macro photography in my never humble opinion needs variable¬† depth of field. If everything is equally sharp to me it doesn’t look real. Still and all it may simply be a lack of skill on my part.

I’ll see how it goes over the next few weeks.

there’s no sense owning a tamrom 90 if you don’t do honest macro

There are fascinating transformations happening with our favorite Chrysalis. My tired old eyes appreciate the beauty that my macro capable rig allows them to see. It’s always a time of high anticipation when I upload a shoot to the computer and I can see the wonders the camera captures.
