Old Traditions Are Not Always Good Traditions

I live on the side of a sleeping volcano about 10 degrees north of the equator. A tropical paradise. WRONG!

This morning most of my neighbors are burning fallen leaves, disposable diapers, plastic, and just general junk. There is so much smoke in the air it is hard to breath.

Later they will wonder why their children have such weak lungs.
