just my thoughts on being human

Hi Luv et alii,

Micah is venerated in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. He lived and died about 3000 years ago. To my way of thinking his greatest words are these;

Micah 6:8Young’s Literal Translation (YLT)

He hath declared to thee, O man, what [is] good; Yea, what is Jehovah requiring of thee, Except — to do judgment, and love kindness, And lowly to walk with thy God?
Michael J. Sandel is a teacher and here are his basic credentials;

Both men are exceptional. Both deal with the same subject: Is there a ‘best’ way for humans to live together? If there is what is it?

As I study them I come to two simple conclusions.

When humans concentrate on their rights the world that is created is ugly.

When humans concentrate on what are their obligations the world that is created stands a good chance of being beautiful.

I may be wrong and I certainly don’t claim to speak for either Micah or Sandel.

But it is what I believe.

Take care, stay obligated,
The Old Man
